Fire & Feast Street Festival

Fire & Feast returns for its fourth year, and this time it's taking over Cathedral Square

September 12th & 13th.

What started as a single-day street food takeover on High Street has grown into Christchurch's biggest free fire-food festival. In 2026, it moves to the heart of the city and expands to two days.

Sixteen of Otautahi's best chefs cooking exclusively over open fire. Live coals, hanging asados, smoking cauldrons. No gas, no shortcuts. Everything you eat is cooked by flame.

There's live music with artist tbc, a bar, and family-friendly firepits. Entry is free. Food is purchased from vendors.

Fires burn from 11am till late, both days.
